In the Location project i learnt the important of research, more research will help me to create more idea and develop my idea. I found character design is difficult, but i have overcome this by practice hand-drawing skill and draw more observational drawing and I would like to explore it further in the transform project. I particularly enjoyed experimenting with workshop drawing.

First workshop

The focus of my project is to explore the animation of a person’s emotional transformation, what a person will do when he changes from a depressed mood to a cheerful mood

Cross cultural communication

Cross-cultural communication is very difficult for me, because I need to communicate with others in a language I am not familiar with. Most of the time we need to communicate in English, the language that everyone knows, but people from different countries have different accents when they use English to communicate with other people. Many times it is not clear what he is trying to convey. For me, a lot of times people from different countries have different cultures and ideas from us

In the English homework of the first semester, I had to cooperate with other students to complete the task of that week, but we did not have a good cooperation relationship due to different cultures. The task of that week was that I needed to help other students find some research together. However, when we were in group discussion, because our English was with some accents, we did not achieve what we needed to do together very well. Later, we completed the task of searching for research, but I did not think highly of the research he was looking for due to different cultures. We communicated for a long time, and I thought it was difficult for me, but I actively communicated with them, and they were willing to complete these tasks with me. After finishing this task, I clearly found my own problem, that is, I often use my own thinking to ask people from different cultures and argue with others. This is clearly not true. From this task, I solved my own problems. Therefore, after the completion of this task, I took the initiative to communicate with my classmates and actively exchange problems with them in the following tasks. Later, I realized that cross-cultural communication was not so difficult for me, and it was very interesting. To be honest, I think it’s great that my speaking skills have improved through cross-cultural communication with others.

I think although we are different in language and culture, we are in the same classroom and in the same group, so we have the same goal. That is to complete the task given by the teacher. Intercultural communication and cooperation were difficult, but we overcame many different difficulties and finally completed the task

This project was created based on these shaped toys in my room. This project does not look very delicate. It is more like a simple animation. The whole animation is completed using procreate. I will try more drawing software and animation software in the next project to try different animation styles and animation types.
